  • Group of friends

    that there was a shuttle

the hotel was very dirty. Had to switch rooms. And the new hotel room was still dirty

  • Couple

I liked how it was connected to the convention center and Lucas Oil stadium.

My bath tub plug was broken so I could only take a shower - this after I ran a marathon and really needed a hot bath. Also, they sealed up their hot tub so they no longer have one :(

  • Family with children

trains would wake you when they went

  • Group of friends

    Very nice, luxurious.

Staff only did minimum that was expected.

  • Couple

Big bed, clean rooms, easy walk to downtown.

Self Parking is $20+ per day, valet told us where the lift was for car park but it was obviously out of service so we carried our bags up the stairs, other then that no problems

  • Group of friends

Location Friendliness of most staff except one waiter in breakfast room - slightly obnoxious, otherwise score for staff would have been excellent. The 'Train car' rooms is big fun taking one back to the aura and ambiance of the Thirties!

Cleanliness - the GM must kick the butts of the cleaning staff to deep clean in order to get rid of accruing filth especially in the public places of the hotel

The whole reason for choosing this hotel was to be close to the Convention Center and Luca Oil Stadium where my son was performing for 4 days. This hotel was the closest one, and traveling alone I felt pretty safe. The decorations inside were great- my kids would have loved the trains! I liked the walkway from the 2nd floor to the convention center, loved having internet in my room.

When I first walked in I was surprised that there were stairs that I had to drag my luggage up, even though it was only 3 steps, my luggage was heavy and I was tired from my travels. As I made my way towards my room, I saw the pool, which was pretty much in the common area and smaller than it looked online. I'm not one to get in a bathing suit and swim in the middle of a hotel where everyone who walk by can see, so I knew I had brought my bathing suit for nothing. When I got to my room, I hadn't realized there would not be a window to the outside, this proved to be a problem for me over the next 4 days as I need to see outside to see the sun, the weather and to not feel claustrophobic. I did have a small window in the corner of the room, and it looked out to the corridor which was pretty dark. :( Still, I was going to make the best of it. I made my way to the convention center where that nights events were going to be, and was very happy at how easy it was to take the walkway directly from the 2nd floor of my hotel which I was staying, to the C.C. The event ended pretty late that night, and I made my way back. When I got to the doors to go back to my hotel, they were locked. A sign was posted that said they were locked at 11pm, which it was past. I tried to use my key in the slot, nope. So I called the hotel and the gal that answered said she did not have the key. So now even though it was a very short distance, I had to walk out of the C.C, go outside alone, and walk to the front of my hotel. I was not happy. I should have just stayed somewhere else and taken a cab to the front door. A few more glitches here and there, I don't think I'll stay again. For the same price, the deluxe breakfast bar was nothing compared to Sheraton Anaheim and left me hungry, and the train that wasn't supposed to be so loud shook me awake when it roared through on the other side of the wall.

  • Older travelers

The design of the hotel was nice. The food was good.

No exhaust fan in the bathroom. The maid did not leave a roll of toilet paper. the commode is coming loose from the floor. There was no microwave or refrigerator in the room. We just stayed at a Holiday Inn Express in Cumberland MD last month and they had both in the room. Paying for parking is not good, especially at the rate of $22.00 a day. We went to the restaurant about 900 PM on the night we arrived and it was closed. We had to eat in the bar.

  • Older travelers

We signed up for a $99 deal on not really knowing what kind of room we were going to get cause it was 2pm and we got an executive sweet! Its outdated except for the flat screen but was ok for us. The valet is $27 which is tacked onto your bill which seemed pretty high but it cost $22 to park yourself so that was an easy call. So it ended up costing $142 with tax and valet. Everyone seemed friendly and attentive.

  • Single

Location was fantastic, staff was helpful and friendly.

The price as compared to other hotels in the same area with similar ratings.

  • Older travelers

We had a lovely stay at the Crowne Plaza. Staff was wonderful & very friendly. We came to Indianapolis for the Men's Big Ten Basketball Tournament - hotel was close to arena & every where we went to eat. We used valet parking & had in & out priviledges but never had to use them - we were able to walk everywhere we needed to go. Would definately stay there again.

  • Family with children

Good location. Interesting ambiance with the trains in the middle of the hotel on the 2nd level.

The housekeeping staff tried 3 times to clean our room-8 A.M., 8:30 A.M. and 9:00 A.M. I thought that was rude!

  • Couple

    Train station theme.

Thin walls with noisy guests staying next to us & wandering the halls.

  • Older travelers

The location is very convenient and the decor is a neat bridge with the past.

The parking garage was not marked well and was too expensive. There should be some kind of discount for hotel guests.

  • Older travelers

rooms were nice and comfortable. Staff very courteous and friendly. free trolley and internet/printing nice touch.

The early knock for room clean service. the early close off of complimentary breakfast.
